Another volume of the Crimson has come to a close. It's been a year filled with late nights, caffeine, picas, sentence structure and grammar. It's a sexciting job - believe us. We've also learned that when it's too late at night, we don't notice that little red underline that tells us we've misspelled something. At least our SGA officers have a good sense of humor.

After we've spent 24 Tuesday nights hidden in an office above the CDC to put together the treasure you're holding, some of our friends still can't remember why we're busy on Tuesdays. This week's invitations for Cinco de Mayo celebrations were especially tempting, but out of our consistent dedication to the Crimson, this week was no week to drop the ball. Maybe next year we'll resume a Tuesday night social life.

We all look back on the year with fondness. We all tried our best to improve our reputation and relationship with everyone on campus. People like Sarah Latham, vice president of operations and planning, have been instrumental in creating an open channel of communication between the Crimson and the administration. It has made our jobs infinitely easier.

The move to the SoCon has given us a plethora of content for sports. The energy in the section has grown almost as exponentially as school spirit. We've enjoyed encouraging our athletes and reporting on their unexpected success in a new conference.

The crossword puzzle has been fun for us as well as for all of you. Beyond challenging our vocabulary, it is a very appealing space filler when the clock says midnight and we haven't started our homework yet.
As all of us move on to bigger and better things as recent graduates or seniors, we'll still pick up a copy of the Crimson on campus or read it online to keep up with next year's happenings. We know the work that goes into the newspaper.

So a word of advice to next year's staff: don't take 8 a.m. Wednesday classes, be prepared to bring a sweatshirt or a tank top to the office because the weather is unpredictable in here, learn to love the AP Stylebook and if you're going to make a mistake, make it a good one.
